Lin-Dell Electric - The Middle Tennessee Leader For Electrical Services

Mr. Wirenut attended First Thanksgiving

According to his plastic family tree, Mr. Wirenut’s ancestors date back to the first Thanksgiving, as depicted in The First Thanksgiving 1621, oil on canvas by Jean Leon Gerome Ferris (1899). Dictionary.com offers the origin and history for the first Thanksgiving and Lin-Dell Electric commemorates it in 2014.

1530s, “the giving of thanks,” from thanks (n.) + present participle of give (v.). In the specific sense of “public celebration acknowledging divine favors” thanksgiving dates from 1630s (the first one in America was held October 1621 by Plymouth Colony Pilgrims in appreciation of assistance from members of the Massasoit tribe and celebration of the first harvest); though Thanksgiving Day itself is not attested until 16770s.

1940s to present, “the giving of thanks,” from the staff and team members at Lin-Dell in appreciation to our customers/friends, architects, builders, contractors, vendors, and suppliers, who have afforded us the longevity to serve the Middle Tennessee communities.

Have a blessed holiday season from your friends at Lin-Dell.
